Club Director Update-Have You Booked the Right Unit Size?

Do you know why room capacities are so important to confirm at the time of reservation?

Each unit type has very clear guidelines for room occupancies, which are set to ensure your safety, comfort and the efficient management of the hotel. Your reservation agent can assist you in making sure your booked unit type adequately accommodates the total number of guests in your party. Here is the maximum occupancy allowed for each room configuration:

-Studio: 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years old

-1 Bedroom: 4 people

-2 Bedroom: 6 people

-3 Bedroom: 8 people

When you arrive at the resort, it’s important to us that your room is ready. The last thing you want after a long and tiring day of traveling is to arrive, and then, because of confusion as to the size of your group, not have a room available. Who wants to be stuck in the lobby waiting to see if the hotel can accommodate you, when you could be in your room with your shoes off, blending your first batch of margaritas!?

We want you to start your vacation off the right way. Therefore, we can’t stress enough how important it is to be accurate with the number of guests in your group at the time of reservation. Please be sure to call back if the total number of guests changes, so we can adjust your reservation if necessary, and make sure that the hotel is holding the correct size unit for you. Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loréto Welcomes International Holistic Healer!

The Sabila Spa is proud to welcome Ivan Gonzalez to the team. Ivan is a shaman with many years of international experience as a holistic healer. He will bring traditional Mexican healing ceremonies to the Sabila Spa so that guests can experience a unique wellness program filled with activities, relaxation, meditation, yoga, and more.

His expertise and experience will be a great addition to the Sabila Spa as we continue to expand our wellness programs. We look forward to the increased interest in the Sabila Spa because of this addition.

 

Islands of Loréto Around Town

• October  Celebrate the Loreto Foundation Anniversary on October 25, one of the most important cultural events in Baja. Enjoy crafts sales, fireworks, music and dances, and parades to celebrate the town’s foundation. More specifics will be announced as October approaches.

• November Experience Baja 1000 from November 17-21, 2015. This is the toughest off roading race in history and has been featured in the movie “Dust to Glory.” The race goes from Ensenada, in the north of Baja California, to La Paz, the south point of the Baja Peninsula, and counts for many races held in the Unites States. Explore the Sea of Cortez’s marine life with this Whale Shark Encounter Tour! The tour starts off with transportation from Cabo to La Paz, the capital of Baja California Sur. Start your night off with a scenic ocean cruise across the Banderas Bay to the isolated cove of Las Caletas. Upon arrival, follow a torch-lit trail through the jungle to a private beachside. Extreme Zip Line Adventure

This tour packs in 4 activities in 1 day.

1. Zip line in a protected tropical forest just outside of Puerto Vallarta on Mexico’s longest and fastest zip line at over 1,200 meters (4,000 feet) and speeds of up to 100 kph (60 mph).
2. Exploration activities such as ladder climbing of up to 50 feet, Tarzan Swings, suspended walkways, and hanging bridges.
3.  Go off roading through the jungle and experience the steep downgrades, river beds, and hills of the jungle.
4. Slide down a waterslide on the hill to cool off and give you another perspective of Mexico’s jungle.

Sea Life Discovery Plus

Participate in the experience of a lifetime as you meet and interact with dolphins, sea lions and manatees. The tour starts off at the dolphinarium, located in Puerto Aventuras, Riviera Maya. Here the dolphins will greet you with a handshake and kisses before you are carried by a dolphin for a speed ride through the water. Later on, you will meet the manatees and sea lions. You will get to feed and pet them as you learn about these animals and receive kisses from them. This tour is sure to make you smile as you interact with these unique, friendly animals.

Explore the historic San Javier Mission located in the mountain oasis of San Javier. After a day of touring the village where San Javier Mission is located, this tour will explore the ancient cave paintings at “Cuevas Pintas” to wrap up this cultural tour before heading back to Loreto.
